A Curate’s Egg, Apparently

A quick note to provide a link to a Webmusic review of the Made In the Americas, Vol. 1 CD that contains my Égloga: el Sauce que se enamoró de la Caricia del Viento. It is unfortunate, I think, that some of the pieces received relatively short shrift—Jay Anthony Gach’s Musicians Wrestling a prime example. The sad thing is that this one in particular is a wonderful and exciting piece, but I understand the reviewer’s point that the performance in this case rather spoils the effect. I’d like to encourage you to investigate the pieces here for yourself; I do not find all of them consistently good any more than the reviewer does, many of them are worthy of further searching.

Travels In London

A few words of warning before we begin: some of the photographs here included were taken on a previous trip to London, but since the title of the post is “Travels In London,” and not “Travels In London in July of 2010,” I thought we could allow the extras. Also, there is one image that is not of London at all, but I really like the composition, so I threw it in as a bonus. Points will be given for any correct guesses as to where the stray photograph was taken. This should definitely not be difficult.
